Dolores was born in Kansas City, Missouri on October 5, 1934, to William (Bill) Lewis Watson and Mary Margaret (Pace) Watson, who welcomed her, to her new heavenly home. Dolores was also preceded in death by her brother, Donald Robert Watson, and her husband of 45 years, Duke L. Harrison.
She is survived, by her beautiful Italian cousin, Patricia Lee (Filipcic) and Rich Schicker, and their two sons of Omaha, Nebraska. Ray Beber, husband of cousin, JoAnn (Watson) Beber, (passed), of Minnesota, Tracey Watson, daughter of cousin, Cookie Watson, (passed) of New Mexico.
She leaves behind her loving daughter, Tracy L. Harrison, and her four legged grandogter, Lily, whom never left her side.
She leaves lifelong friends, Norma (Black) and Stan Johnson, Clinton, MO, son Mark and Becky Johnson, daughters Star (Johnson) and Ted Dodd, and Kim (Johnson) and George Dixon, California.
She leaves grade school friend, Joan (Radar) Erickson, Missouri, and high school friend, Carol (Thompson) White, Oklahoma.
She also leaves behind, beautiful daughter’s, of good friends gone. Melody and Michael Ballard, (Sandra Miller), Pam and Mark Booth, (Cathy Ernst). Ginger (Pitts) and Doug Pennington, (Barbara (Kistler) Pitts, (Mother) and RosaLee Kistler, (Grandmother), and son, Rod Dodig, (Jenny (Goodell) Dodig).
She leaves her dear friend, Donna Hille, (Sister to Cathy Ernst, Aunt to Pam Booth) and her friend, Bernie Keil, Missouri.
She also leaves behind, friends and neighbors of 40 years, Jo and Don Meyer, Norma and Jim Harris, The Evans Family, and The Jones Family, Arizona.
She leaves behind, beautiful friends brought into her world, Penny (Younger) and Tom Tepesch, of Blue Springs, MO, Tim and Pat Cooper, Pleasant Hill, MO, DeLisa (Gray) and Michael Hicks, of Blue Springs, MO, Darlene and David Lynn, of Seymour, MO., and The Julian Family, of Prairie Village, KS.
Dolores, graduated in 1952 from Paseo High School, where she was active in multiple Sororities. She was a member of the Jeanne Roberts Dance Troupe, A Cappella Choir, and the Bonsai Society. Dolores was also a beautiful seamstress, an accomplished Miniaturist, she was a skilled artist, in multiple mediums.
She spent her professional career working in the Kansas City area at the Golden Ox, Skelly on the Plaza, The Bob Beebe Company, The Dave Maddox Insulation Company, and lastly, The Best of Kansas City, where she met her Sisterhood Gal Pal, Karen Nash, daughter and son, Julie Gound and Ben Gound, Mary Otte (whom she met at Skelly, reunited at BKC), and Mary Worland, and all the people who worked there and were vendors.
Dolores was also the caregiver, for her parents, Bill and Mary Watson, her mother-in-law, Camille Harrison and her husband, Duke L. Harrison.
She had great love and care from Helen, of Kansas City Hospice, Dr. Rene’ Bollier and Michelle.
A viewing will be held on July 8 from 10:00am to 11:00am at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freman Funeral Home (10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, MO), followed immediately by interment in Mount Moriah Cemetery.
