

Dolores Patricia Rush Kula was born in Kansas City, Missouri on August 2, 1930 to George and Sarah McSorley Rush. She died on August 11, 2016 in Naples, Florida. Beloved wife of John T. Kula, Jr., she is also survived by three children, Sara Nauser, Susan (Chris) Myers, and Steve (Marla) Frogge; two stepchildren, Amy (Mark) Cooper, and Andy (Sue) Kula, nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and her brother, Eugene Rush. Dolores graduated in 1949 from the Loretto Academy. She also attended the Kansas City Art Institute. She retired from Mission Hills Country Club in 1995 after 25 years of service. She loved life and her family. In 2001 she moved to Naples, Florida and worked at Ethan Allen and Agostino’s Fine Furniture. She was a member of The Nativity Catholic Church in Leawood, Kansas, The Kansas City Professional Womens League, St. William’s Catholic Church and Council of Women in Naples, Florida, The Naples Historical Society, and the St. Anthony Guild. She also volunteered her time making rosarys and working the gift shop at St. William. A memorial mass in her honor will take place at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at St. Ann Catholic Church, 7231 Mission Rd., Prairie Village, KS 66208.
