Dolores Hurtado Springer, Kansas City, MO went with the Lord on November 11, 2013. Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30 a.m. on Friday, November 15 at Christ the King Church, 8510 Wornall Rd, with burial to follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. (Rosary at 7:30 p.m.) on Thursday, November 14 at McGilley Midtown Chapel, 20 W. Linwood Blvd. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice, 1001 E. 101st Terr, Kansas City, MO 64131.

Dolores was born on October 18, 1920 in Kansas City, Kansas to Gabriel and Carmen (Franco) Hurtado. She attended St. Margaret School of Nursing in Kansas City, KS, was an Army nurse during World War II and Korean War and retired from the Army Reserves with rank of Major. She continued to work in the medical communities of Philadelphia and Puerto Rico until her retirement. Dolores was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Arthur Springer MD; her parents; stepmother, Maria G. Hurtado; brothers, Gabriel Hurtado Jr., Edward Hurtado, Carlos Hurtado; sisters, Carmen Jaime, Rachel Hurtado, Clementina Hurtado. She is survived by sisters, Rose Mary Velasquez (Raymond), Elvira Soto (Arthur), Gloria Dewey ( Tom); brothers, George Hurtado ( Chuhwa), Norbert Hurtado, Robert Hurtado; sister-in-law, Norma Hurtado.
