Dolores Velo

Dolores ‘Lolis’ Velo, 39 of Kansas City, Missouri, died on Monday, October 5, 2015 at her home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 8 at Holy Name Church, Iowa and Southwest Blvd., Kansas City, Kansas. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the McGilley Midtown Chapel, 20 W. Linwood Blvd., Kansas City, MO, where the rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m.

Dolores was born on June 20, 1976 in Kansas City, Missouri to Socorro and Yolanda (Ramirez) Velo. She graduated from Southeast High School and worked 14 years for Trader’s Insurance as an insurance underwriter. She was an amazing wife, mother, daughter and sister. She was so dedicated to her family, her kids and husband. She always gave 100% in everything. She was preceded in death by her mother six years ago. Dolores’ survivors include her husband, Raul Flores of the home; four children, Edgar Flores, Iliana Flores and twins, Raul and Stephanie Flores, all of the home; father, Socorro Velo, Sr.; sisters, Lisa and Christina; brothers, Socorro, Jr., Javier and Sergio, all of Kansas City, MO.
