Shirley, in the short time I have known you and Don, my fondest memory is when I first met the two of you. As I stood in the crowd cheering our veterans as they disembarked the Honor Flight plane at almost midnight at KCI Airport just a few years ago, I spotted my future daughter-in-law, Heather Dobbins, there as well. What a surprise to learn Heather was there to greet her grandfather, Don, as he was returning from Washington, D.C., after spending the day among the Honor Flight veterans. Not only was it an honor to pay tribute to the veterans as they got off the plane, it was a double-honor that I was there to meet and honor Don Fisher, Heather’s grandfather, who meant so much to her. I am so glad that I had the privilege to know him. I am so very sorry for your loss and send my love to you.

Shirley: My sincere condolences on the loss of your dear Husband. You were so sweet to come to Gene's visitation almost six years ago, and I appreciated it so much. May God wrap His Loving Arms around you and give you peace. God Bless You.
