Visitation is Friday, June 8 from 6:00 – 8:00 at St Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 800 Shady Lane, Gladstone, MO (Rosary prayer at 5:30). Funeral is Saturday, June 9 at 9:00 AM, also at St. Charles, followed by burial at Resurrection Cemetery with full military honors.
Don was born Sept. 4, 1932 in Kansas City, MO to Floyd and Mildred Fisher and was a life-long resident of the area. After East High School, he graduated from Baker University, then joined the US Army and served as a part of the Army of Occupation in Germany. He returned home and married his high school sweetheart, Shirley Warren. The two enjoyed 62 years together. Don was passionate about his family and his Catholic faith, a committed member of St. Charles Borromeo.
Don is preceded in death by his parents, sister Carol Fisher Case, brother Robert Floyd Fisher and infant son John David Fisher. Survivors include his loving wife, Shirley; children Nancy (Bill) Colwell, Linda (Robin) Neverve, Mary (David) Dobbins, Donald (Angela) Fisher, Jr., and Daniel (Tammy) Fisher; brother David Richard Fisher; twelve grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren (with one on the way).
