Donald Paul Harman lived in South Kansas City, Missouri and was born in Marietta, Ohio on May 8th, 1970. Don was the youngest of three children born to Gordon Stanley Harman and the late Harriett Jo Harman. Don graduated from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Don had always wanted to become a meteorologist. In fact, as a young boy he asked for items such as rain gauges and barometers as gifts. After graduation from college, Don worked as a meteorologist at WTAP in West Virginia, KIMT in Mason City, Iowa, and WOWK in Huntington, West Virginia before moving to Kansas City. In 1999, Don became the FOX4 morning show meteorologist at WDAF-TV4 and had a large following over the last eleven years. Don leaves behind the two loves of his life, wife Monica and young daughter, Avery Jo; his father Gordon Stanley Harman, Marietta, Ohio; sister Hattie Harman Sayre (John), Greenwood, Indiana; brother Gordon Harman (Susan), Bay Village, Ohio; nieces and nephews, extended family and a multitude of friends. Don passed away November 29th, 2011. A public memorial service celebrating Don’s life will be held at a later time. For information or to offer condolences go to www.fox4kc.com.
