

He was the son of Doris Dean (Gabriel) Lange and Robert A. Lange, Jr.
Don graduated from Center Senior High School in 1974. He earned his Associate Degree in Applied Science from Longview Community College in December 1976 and his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Avila College in May 1988.
Don was employed at the same automotive sealants business since graduating from high school. Through all six company names, ownership changes and buy outs-- R&D Chemical Company; Ciba Geigy; Drexel Automotive Materials; Masland Ind.; Lear Corporation; and Nitto Denko Automotive, Don remained a steadfast employee.
Don was a member of The American Society of Quality, an organization dedicated to the ongoing development, advancement, and promotion of Quality concepts, principles, and techniques.
Coin and currency collecting was one of his favorite hobbies. He was a member of the Johnson County Numismatic Society, the Cass County Numismatic Society as well as Central States Numismatic Society. Don also enjoyed hunting and shooting. Don has always been a “car guy”. He loved attending car shows. Don was a member of Kansas City Chevelle Club. Muscle cars, old trucks and vintage cars were all his favorites. His two favorite cars were both Chevy Chevelle Super Sports.
Don was preceded in death by his father, Bob Lange and stepson, Jordan Newsome.
Don was a loving and devoted son, brother and uncle. He will be missed by his Mother, Doris Lange; Sister, Janice Rivera; Sister, Judy Colson and her husband, Ed; brother, David Lange and his wife, Kathy.
He will also be missed by Nephews & Nieces: Jenni Rivera; Alex Rivera; Amy & Chad Williams; Ed & Alecia Colson; Danny Lange and Kayla Ippolito; Bobby Lange; Katelyn Lange. As well as great nephews & Nieces: Allie Zinn; Logan Grey; Mariah Lange; Charlie Lange; Brinley Lange.
Don will be memorialized at Mount Moriah, Newcomer and Freeman Funeral Home at 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City Missouri 64131. Visitation is at 10:00 am Thursday, May 19, 2016 with the service following at 11:00. Burial will be at Mt. Muncie Cemetery in Leavenworth, Kansas. Memorials may be made to Kansas City Hospice House,12000 Wornall Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64145.
