

Donald Eugene “Don” Lynn, 83, of Blue Springs, MO passed away October 25, 2017. All services held at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, 3736 Lee’s Summit Rd., Indep., MO. Rosary recited at 3:30pm on Sunday, Oct. 29th with visitation following from 4-6pm. Mass of Christian Burial 10 AM Monday. Oct. 30th followed by burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Don was born March 2, 1934 in Kansas City, MO to Edward and Marie (Patton) Lynn. He graduated from East High School in Kansas City, MO in 1952 and went on to serve in the US Marine Corps from 1952-1955. He ended his military career as a Sergeant and was a Korean War Veteran. Don was a Civil Engineer and worked for several firms until he started his own business, Blue Valley Engineering. He was a member of St. Mark’s Church, the Tribe of Mic-O-Say, BSA, the American Legion, the Marine Corp League Simpson Hoggatt Detachment and a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus Council 3430.
Don is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sandra; children, Cathy Galloway (Doug), Theresa Lynn, Michael Lynn (Debbie) and Patrick Lynn (Becky); grandchildren, Jon Galloway (Nicole), Amanda Galloway-Hays (Nathan), Chris Galloway (Brittiany), and Matt, Andy, Kristin, Anna and Adam Lynn; 7 great grandchildren; a sister, Bethel Jane Wubenhorst as well as several nieces, nephews and dear friends.
