Born in 1938 to Kenneth and Mary Estelle McCrory, Don grew up with strong family roots and a deep connection to the Kansas City area. He carried those values with him throughout his life, shaping a legacy defined by kindness, and quiet generosity. Don was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Martha, whose memory remained close to him throughout his years.
Don is survived by his cousins, Robert Guisinger and Allen Guisinger who supported him during his long illness. He always enjoyed sharing all family events and holidays with the Guisinger side of the family.
Don was known for his generosity. He made very significant donations to healthcare research, including Johns Hopkins University.
Don’s final years were spent in the compassionate care of The Parkway Senior Living staff.
His presence will be deeply missed. He will be in eternal rest, along with his parents and sister at Mt Moriah Cemetery in Kansas City. There will be no memorial service.
