

Donald Wayne Winn, Jr. was born July 28th, 1954, and passed away June 20th, 2026. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, son, husband, and friend. Wayne spent most of his life in the Kansas City, Missouri metro area but was in the process of building a beautifully full new life in Florida at the time of his passing. Wayne was the second of three children born to Donald Wayne Winn, Sr. and Myrtle (Arnold) Winn. He was married to Rhonda LuAnna Howe on September 14, 1985, and the couple raised two children, Rhiannon and Wesley.
Wayne spent many years as a lead engineer at Sprint, where he made lasting connections and friendships. He is fondly remembered by his children as steadfast and engaged, often coaching sports teams, planning Halloween bonfires, and supporting academic pursuits. Wayne loved motorcycle road trips, playing golf, gathering with family and friends, and spending time with his dog, Bricx.
Wayne is preceded in death by both parents, his wife, in-laws Ronald Howe and B. Jaunita (Cauthon) Howe, and brother-in-law, Robert Howe. He is survived by his son and daughter, two grandchildren (Rhiley and Jaxon Moore), a son-in-law (Matthew Moore), a daughter-in-law (Jenna Winn), sister (Jean Glick), three brothers-in-law (Dave Glick, Richard Howe, Ralph Howe), brother (Jeff Winn), and several nieces and nephews.
