Doris Depew, 92 of Kansas City, of died Friday, August 9, 2013 at Little Sisters of the Poor Care Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 14, 2013 in the Chapel at Little Sisters of the Poor. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel.

Doris was born September 28, 1920 in Greenleaf, KS to Orville and Florence E.(Crimmins) Depew. Doris graduated from the St. Mary’s School of Nursing and was a surgical nurse for three generations of Doctors Curran, renowed eye surgeons in Kansas City at St. Mary’s Hospital. In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her two sisters, Jeanne Depew and Shirley Kathryn Foster, and three brothers, William, Daniel and Neil. Doris is survived by her brother, John Depew of Greenleaf, KS; one sister, Mary Ann Long, Salina, KS; 13 nieces and nephews and 24 great nieces and nephews.
