Dorothy “God’s Gift” Ann (Tobin) Audiss, passed away in her home in Overland Park, Kansas on March 30th, 2024, at the age of 81. She was born September 8th, 1942, in Sturgis, South Dakota to parents Michael and Helen (Price) Tobin.
A devout Catholic, she met James “Jimmy” G. Audiss in 1960 and relocated to Kansas City, Missouri where they built a life together, raising six children and establishing successful convenience stores. Known for her competitive spirit, Dorothy found joy in activities like bowling, fishing, and playing cards.
She was widowed on November 9th, 1995, after 34 years of marriage. In 1998 she met Kenneth “Kenny” Wales and married on February 14th, 2006.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents Michael and Helen (Price) Tobin, her brother Maurice V. Tobin, her sister Mary Alice Miles and her husband James G. Audiss.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Wales, brother Lee Tobin, her six children: Claudia (Mark) King, Bryan (Angelique) Audiss, Robin (Norman) Harrigan, Nita (Chris) Hagerman, Jamie Milburn and Renee (Mark) Galeassi, twenty-eight grandchildren and thirty-nine great-grandchildren.
Dorothy’s love for her children was unwavering, and her devotion to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was boundless. Her home was always filled with warmth and laughter, and her love will continue to live on through the generations she nurtured with such tenderness and care.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday April 4th, 2024, at 10:00 AM at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 14251 Nall Ave Overland Park, Kansas 66223.
