Dorothy Lorene Bowlus, 86, a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great,great grandmother and friend passed away on Friday, April 24, 2026 in Cass County, Missouri, Surrounded by her family. Born August 22, 1939, in Kansas City, Missouri.
Dorothy Retired from the Federal Government, where she had worked for many years. Her Commitment and dedication to her job was something Dorothy Took Pride in, Working until age 81 at which time she retired.
Dorothy is preceded by her husband, Billie Bob Bowlus, her father, Ralph Leon Veach, her mother, Bessie Lucile (Alger) Veach, 5 sister and a brother.
She is survived by brother James Veach and sister, Jean Helms, son, Gary Bowlus (wife Sandy), Daughter, Debra Parker, step daughter, Pam Deuser (husband Jerry), 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 1 great, great granddaughter and numerous nieces and nephews.
Dorothy will be missed by all.
An Urn Committal will be held at Mount Moriah Cemetery South, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, MO 64131, on April 29, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
