Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Walt Carpenter, parents Everett and Dolly McNutt, and her sister Edna Pickett.
She is survived by her children Walter Carpenter (Jan) and Cathy Custer (Randy), grandchildren Chad Carpenter and Joseph Carpenter, her brother Everett McNutt, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Dorothy's honor to the Wounded Warrior Project.
