Dorothy (North) Lee, 91, of Blue Springs, Missouri, passed away May 1, 2013. Visitation will be held from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. followed by memorial service at 3:00 p.m. Friday, May 17, at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road. Private inurnment in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Dorothy was born January 28, 1922 in Kansas City, Missouri, daughter of John H. and Mildred (Bosler) North. She was a graduate of Southwest High School in Kansas City, Missouri. Dorothy worked as a portrait artist and restoration of antique dolls. She was a member of Sinawik, D.A.R., and was founder and president of the Lower Upper Valley Doll Club. She was preceded in death by her husband Dr. John Richard Lee in 2010, sister Marjorie Clark, and brother Sanford North. Dorothy is survived by her sons John R. Lee (Cheryl), Sanford D. Lee (Mary Kay) and Christopher N. Lee (Tresa); niece Jeannie Weller; nephew Terry North; seven grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren, extended family and friends.
