Dorothy A. Townsend, 92, passed away July 30, 2016 at Hidden Lake Nursing Home. Dorothy was born March 9, 1924 in Orrick, MO the daughter of Jewell and Anna Crabtree. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thayer Townsend. She is survived by her sister, Betty James; sons, Rick and Gary Wilber; daughter, JoAnn Schaberg; step son, Tom Townsend; Step daughter, Becky Sanders, many grand children along with extended family. Dorothy was a member of Loma Vista Baptist Church. Dorothy loved music, playing and teaching piano, she adored her students. She also loved angles, flowers and spending time with her family. Visitation will be Saturday, August 6, 2016 from 11am to 12 pm at Floral Hills Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 1:30 pm in the Missouri City Cemetery; Missouri City, MO.
