DuJuan Monte Douglas of Kansas City, MO received his wings Tuesday morning, April 13th, 2021, at the age of 43. He was born July 8, 1977 to Sheila Johnson and Wiley Douglas. Preceding him in death was his brother Justen Johnson and his cousin Christopher Johnson who were raised like brothers. He also lost his grandparents on his father’s side, Winfrey and Jennie May Douglas. On his mother’s side, he lost his Aunt Carmelita Johnson, Uncle Walter Barbour and his Grand Father, Sonny Johnson.
DuJuan attended elementary school at St. Joseph’s Catholic School, and graduated from Manual Career and Technical Center. DuJuan gave his life to Christ at a young age. He was baptized in the Catholic Church and attended several churches in the Kansas City Missouri Metropolitan Area throughout his life.
DuJuan was a special person. He always had a smile on his face. Which was amazing considering the violent seizures he suffered from Epilepsy. DuJuan loved music and movies. One would often find him in his room blasting his favorite rap songs by DMX, Tupac or Bone Thugs in Harmony. He loved his family! He gravitated to his younger cousins because they did not treat him differently. He was the perfect big cousin, who would often show the younger cousins the ropes. He did not have many friends outside of the family circle but in his later days, he spent a lot of time with his friend Rudy.
He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted grandmother; Louise Johnson whom he adored, mother; Shelia Johnson, father; Wiley Douglas. Sisters; Diamon Johnson, Mila Douglas, and Kristine Douglas. Brother William Douglas, aunts; Roxanne Johnson, Sebrina Johnson, Selena Johnson, Queea Miller, Betty Hogan, Rebecca Atkins, Mae Harris. Uncles Shellie Johnson, Ronnie Johnson Sr., cousin crew; Shane Ray, Ronnie Johnson Jr, Senea Johnson, Michael Wates ,Whitney Johnson, Charlaun Johnson, “Fat Daddy” Johnson, Patricia Johnson, Niece; Marlana Johnson and Nephews; Justen Johnson and Jamil Johnson. All are from Kansas City, MO, As well as a host of extended family and friends.
