Earl Milton Wood Jr.

Earl Milton Wood Jr., age 81 of Independence, Mo. passed away on January 2, 2021 at Lee’s Summit Medical Center, Lee’s Summit, Mo. Earl was born on October 16, 1939 in Independence, MO. the son of: Earl Sr. and Dorothy (Haggart) Wood He retired in 1988 from Grass Valley Groupe in Grass Valley, CA as a circuit board printer. He moved back to Independence, MO in 1993. He married Lynette Brown in 1989 in Grass Valley, CA. Earl enjoyed working on cars, woodworking, spending time with and meeting people. He was an avid Royals fan so much so that he had tattoo with player’s autographs. He loved his family and was very family orientated. He loved playing cards and family gatherings. He was a real jokester. He would always tease his cousins by telling each of them they were his favorite. He attended the Life Connection Church in Independence, MO. He is survived by his wife: Lynette, Son: Jason (Wife: Kimette) Wood of Grass Valley, CA. Four Grandchildren: Tucker, Adalie, Charlotte, and Finley Wood, Sister: Penny of Arkansas, Aunt: Sherrill Russell of North Kansas City, MO. Many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by: Sister: Shirley Rose.
