Tom served our country in Vietnam as part of the 1st Infantry Division 4th Calvary. Upon his return to the States he moved to Independence, Missouri where he worked for Armco Steel until moving on to Ford Motor Company until retirement. He was a proud member of United Auto Workers Local 249.
Tom enjoyed rooting for his beloved University of Kentucky Wildcats, the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals, going bowling and coaching his kids’ baseball teams.
He leaves behind his wife Carol Burlile of Kansas City, Missouri, his two sons Tom (Lisa) Burlile and Mike Burlile all of Independence, his daughter Sarah McKinley, Gladstone, Missouri, and his grandkids Brian Burlile, Independence, Missouri and Ashlee (Trever) Stephens, Independence, Missouri.
His service will be held Saturday, July 16th, 2022 at Newcomer’s Floral Hill Funeral Home 7000 Blue Ridge Boulevard Kansas City, Missouri at 9 AM. Inurnment to follow.
