Edgar Roy Walker

Edgar R. Walker 88, of Kansas City, MO passed away on March 13, 2013. He was born to Roy & Lillian Walker in Macon County, MO on March 3, 1925. After graduating high school in Macon he entered the U.S. Navy and married Nona Juanita Stow in June 1946. Together they had four children Steven, David, Tim & Kathy. Upon moving to Gladstone in 1953 Edgar began working at Ray Sapp Hardware for many years. Then he became employed with the U.S. Post Office as a letter carrier for 27 years until his retirement. Edgar loved to garden, cook and square dance, which he did up to several nights a week and weekends. He met and made numerous friends that he has cherished for over 40 years. He is survived by his children Steven, David (Marlene), Tim (Judy) and Kathy (Bob Groeger) and six grandchildren, three great granddaughters and one great grandson. A memorial service will be held in his honor at 2:00 on March 16, 2013 at the Mount Moriah Terrace Park Funeral Home at 801 NW 108th Terrace Kansas City, MO 64155.
