Edward S. Dec, 64, passed away at the Indian Hills Care Center in Chillicothe, MO on Sun., July 26, 2015. Visitation from 6-7:30pm at the McGilley & Sheil Chapel on Thurs., July 30th with Memorial Service to begin at 7:30 pm. Cremation. Family requests casual attire please.

Eddie was born Jan. 5, 1951 in Kansas City, MO to Thadeusz & Genevieve Dec. He was their fourth child, but the first to be born in the United States. He attended & graduated from St. Stephens Catholic Grade School as well as attended & graduated from St. Mary’s Catholic High School. Eddie was a Camera Operator for Time Warner Cable’s “Metro Sports Program” for 23 years. He received an Emmy Award in 2009 for his work at Metro Sports. Eddie really enjoyed being around airplanes & cars and he volunteered annually for the Kansas City Air Show.

Eddie is preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his loving companion, Peggy Torno; siblings, Ella Smith (Ron), Richard, John (Conny), Mark, Don (Connie), Chris, Amy Dec (Mike) and many nieces & nephews.
