Edward Reidy

Edward T. Reidy, Jr., 83, of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away Saturday, February 5, 2011. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, February 12th, 10:00 a.m., at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 11822 Holmes, Kansas City, MO. Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m., one hour prior to the mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Fenwick High School, 505 West Washington Blvd., Oak Park, IL, 60302.

Ed was born October 13, 1927, in Oak Park, Illinois, to Edward and Fleurette Reidy. He attended Fenwick High School, and the University of Dayton. Ed worked at U.S. Steel Supply from 1951 to 1981; he was a cattle rancher, and worked in real estate; he was the City Manager of Windsor, MO from 1981 to 1999. Ed married Joan Urban on February 27, 1951, she passed away on 5/26/ . Ed married Marcia Hood June 12, 1970. He is survived by seven children; Edward, Patrick, Shawn, Joan Wishard, John, Michael, Joseph; 18 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
