

Edward Lee Wiggin, 75, passed away on August 28th, 2025 after a prolonged illness. He was born on August 2nd, 1950 in Kansas City Kansas to Edward and Irene Wiggin, the second child of 4. He is survived by his sister, Tana Bowen, and brother, Steven Wiggin, son Matthew Wiggin (Chi), two grandsons; Coleson Wiggin (Abby) and Braiden Wiggin (Marissa), and great grandson Nolan Wiggin.
Ed grew up in Lenexa and Overland Park Kansas. His passion was playing baseball, which he began at a young age. His son and grandsons followed in his footsteps, all of them being excellent ball players and loving the game.
His profession was construction, first in concrete, then commercial buildings as a construction superintendent. One of his builds was Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Lenexa.
He made numerous friends throughout the years, many of them teammates from his years playing baseball. They knew him as an outstanding ball player. He was always striving to be the best he could be.
He served in the US Army in a tank division stationed in Germany and was honorably discharged in 1970.
He was a supportive husband to his wife of 30 years, as she established her successful career in sales, despite her health challenges.
Throughout his life he remained an avid fan of NASCAR, the NY Yankees, KC Chiefs, and the KC Royals,. He loved riding motorcycles and owned a number of them during his 60 years of riding them.
He was always ready to help family and friends. His neighbors became close friends, recognizing his giving nature and his genuine friendship. He bonded with them as he walked his beloved schnauzer, Sophie, around his neighborhood.
Many of his caretakers enjoyed his positive attitude, ready jokes, and teasing during this time in facilities.
He was preceded in death by his wife Terry Sue Jenkins Wiggin, mother Irene Wiggin, father Edward Wiggin and his sister Sandra McDowell (Steve).
His girlfriend, Janelle Clark, of 15 years remembers amazing adventures and his generous heart.
Graveside services will be held at Floral Hills Funeral Home in KC MO on Friday, September 26th, 2025 at 11:00am. Please meet the family at the graveside, Tower of Faith Mausoleum.
