Edwin was born on January 3, 1928 to Maurice and Muriel Jones in Salem, Arkansas; he had 1 brother and 5 sisters. He took up the trade of Auto Mechanics. In 1946 he enlisted in the United States Army. His “Civilian Occupation” was an Automobile Serviceman and “Military Occupational Specialty” was Medical Technician. Surviving the battle of World War II, Edwin received a World War II Victory Medal. He was proud to serve our country and received Honorable Discharge February 11, 1947.
He is preceded in death by his parents, four siblings, wife, Norena Linn (Searles) Jones and daughter, Carol McGurren.
Edwin leaves to cherish his memory, sons: Larry G. Jones, wife, Donna of Raytown, Missouri and Douglas K. Jones, wife Diane of Centerview, Missouri; daughter: Georgia Pizzimenti of Detroit, Michigan; sisters: Bertie Huls of Independence, Missouri and Penny Bowers of Independence, Missouri; 11 Grandchildren, many Great-grandchildren and other loving family and friends.
He will be greatly missed.
