
Edwin Lee Robinson, 86, of De Soto, KS, passed away April 28, 2014 at Hillside Village of De Soto. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Rd. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 1, at the funeral home. Burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery South. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Kansas City Hospice.
Mr. Robinson was born August 12, 1927 in Fairfax, MO, son of John and Bess (Prater) Robinson. He served his country during World War II in the United States Navy. He worked for over 20 years with Clipper Mfg. in Grandview, and retired from Goldblatt Tool Company.
He was an avid golfer who enjoyed playing golf with his brother and sister.
He was preceded in death by his wife Betty Jean in 2002. Mr. Robinson is survived by his children Timothy Robinson, Dr. Rhonda Kay Gaugh (Dr. Craig Gaugh), Christopher Robinson and Martin Robinson; brothers Jack, James, and Donald Robinson; sister Phyllis Robinson; grandchildren Hilary Hamilton, Dr. Emily Gaugh, Evan Gaugh, Caroline Robinson, Nicholas Robinson, Matthew Robinson and John Robinson; great-grandchildren Grant and Myra Hamilton; extended family and friends. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be missed by all.
