Betty attended Visitation Grade School, St. Teresa’s Academy High School (Class of 1946), and St. Teresa’s College. She worked at the H.J. Hodes Company until her marriage to Gerald R. Ismert (Jerry) on November 22, 1952.

Betty dedicated her life to her home and family, pouring her heart into raising her children and time spent with her husband. She is survived by her 10 children: Mary Ismert Black, Jean Long (Wade), Tommy Ismert (Linda), Susie Ismert, Tina Miller, Bob Ismert (Pam), Peter Ismert (Tracy), Katie Foster (Michael), Joani Campbell (Mike), and Chris Ismert (Anja).
