Elizabeth Lee Dominick White, 90 (2 days shy of her 91st birthday) died March 19, 2018. Betty was born March 21, 1927 in Kansas City, Missouri to Robert and Lois (Schermes) Dominick. Betty’s father Robert was Chairman of The Traders National Bank. She graduated from Southwest High School and was a Kappa Kappa Gamma at the University of Missouri in Columbia. Her Kappa sisters remained some of her closest friends throughout her lifetime. Betty was also a member of the BOTAR class of 1950. She married William Emerson White and they had three children; Robert, Elizabeth and Laura. Betty was a devoted community volunteer serving as a President of the Visiting Nurse Association, and active with the Junior League of Kansas City, Missouri, the Research Hospital Auxiliary, the Sunset Hill School, the Pembroke Country Day School and the Westport Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She and Bill enjoyed their membership at Mission Hills Country Club where Betty pursued her love of tennis, golf and bridge.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband Bill in 1995; her brother, James Robert Dominick and a grandson, Andrew Lyon White. She is survived by her three children, Bob White (Barbara), Pleasant Hill, MO; Libby Peper (George), Charleston, SC and their children, Tim (Alle) and Scott (Sophie); and Laura Bluhm (Mark), Kansas City, MO and their children Natalie and Scott. A Celebration of Betty’s life will be 11:00 am, Saturday, April 28, 2018 in the chapel of Country Club Christian Church, where family and friends may gather from 10:00-11:00 am.
