Paul, Jim and Anna,
We will miss your Mom's smiling face at 8 o'clock mass most Sunday mornings. We will always remember when Anna and my daughter,Jenifer, were baptized at the same Mass at Lourdes about 40 years ago. She was a part of our 'Lourdes Family' and we will miss seeing her there on Sundays.

    Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this time.  We both loved Ellen.  I treasure the memories of my time with Ellen when we lived in Raytown.  But most of all I treasure the memories of the fun times we had when she visited us in San Diego.  She was truly a wonderful friend and I will miss her terribly.  We were able to keep a close relationship by phone over the years.  Our love and thoughts will be with you today and tomorrow during this sad time. I grew up across the street from Ellen and she was a wonderful friend for many years.  We met for lunch a while back and my youngest brother finally got a chance to meet her.  I wish we could have spent more time together.

Ellen was a source of sound advice and friendship. She lead our Thursday morning discussion group in a manner that made everyone feel welcome and important. She will be missed and mourned by many.

To The Boecker Family,

I am so very saddened by the passing of a very dear friend of mine. I grew up with Ellen...we were back door neighbors...she lived on Van Brunt, we lived on Hardesty. We were the very best of friends when we were young. I remember her mother brushing our hair out in their back yard...Ellen had that beautiful auburn hair. We have always stayed in touch, sometimes if only by cards exchanged at Christmas.  A couple of years ago, we were able to get together with some of the other neighborhood kids, the Maloneys, my sisters Pat and Peggy and meet for lunch.  It was a most wonderful event for all of us!!!  My sympathies to you, Paul, Jim and Anna.

Words are all we have at a time like this and they don't seem to be enough.  We are all very sorry for what you are having to deal with now.  We only met Ellen a few times, but what a lovely woman she was!  She always had a smile on her face and seemed to be enjoying everything that was going on - she was especially attentive to Jessica and Steven.  You were all very lucky to have her in your life!
