Elmer E. Rogers, 92, of Independence, MO passed away January 19, 2011 at Maywood Terrace Living Center. Visitation will be Monday, January 24th from 10-11am at the McGilley & Sheil Chapel. Funeral service will begin at 11am with burial to follow in Mt. Washington Cemetery. Elmer was born June 1, 1918. He was a WWII Veteran. Elmer was a baker for Tastee Bread and was a Local Union President. Elmer was preceded in death by a son, Gary Rogers. He is survived by his wife, Thelma I. Rogers of Indep., MO; a daughter, Patricia Wyant of Indep., MO; two sons, Edward Rogers (Marjorie) and Kirk Rogers (Leslie Gall); 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
