

Eloise L. Baker, 89, Marshall, Missouri, died January 11, 2013. Visitation will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, January 14, followed by a funeral service at 3 p.m. at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64131.
Eloise was born December 11, 1923, to Hazel A. and Lloyd H. Boyce in Carleton, Nebraska. She graduated from Hebron High School in 1941. She served as a deputy clerk of the District Court of Thayer County, Nebraska. Eloise moved to Long Beach, California and worked in the war effort as a Rosie the Riviter for McDonnell Douglas Aircraft. At the end of WWII, she moved to Kansas City, Missouri and worked at the War Assets Administration. In 1947 she met Lloyd E. Baker and they were married in 1948.
She became a homemaker and three children were born to them. Eloise attended Unity Village Chapel. She moved from Kansas City to Marshall, Missouri and resided there until her death. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lloyd E. Baker; sister, Twila Mae Boyce Craig; and brother, Donald J. Boyce.
Survivors include a sister, I. Beth Shipley; children, Mary Beth (David) Mauger, William L. (Cheri) Baker, Nancy L. (Gary) Heidrich; and grandchildren: Jessica M. Baker, Kristin B. Caron and Lauren A. Slayman.
