

Elsie Pearl Hamilton took her journey home to be with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on February 24, 2023 around 1:00pm. Elsie was born June 16 in Moberly, MO. She attended grade school in Moberly till 6th grade when she and her family moved to Princeton, MO. She graduated from Princeton High School in 1947. She married the love of her life Lee Roy Hamilton in 1949. She and Lee Roy moved to Kirksville, MO and she was employed as Deputy Recorder of Deeds for Adair County. In 1953 they moved to Raytown, MO. While there she was an employee of Raytown Bank for 27 years retiring in January 1995. She was a member of First Baptist Church since August 1953. In later years she was active in singles ministry and volunteered for the church. She was preceded in death by her husband Lee Roy Hamilton, her brother and wife, Ormal & Pat Williams, her sister in law Christella Hamilton, and her parents. She is survived by one daughter Wanda Hobbs, one granddaughter and husband, Nathanael & Holly Krska. Also, many nieces, nephews, & cousins. Also a long time family friend Dr. Michael Utz who she loved so much. Elsie accepted Christ when she was 10 years old and was a strong believer in prayer. She was a friend to the young as well as the old and treasured their friendship. Elsie never met a stranger and loved to talk and visit. Elsie loved her Lord and her church and if you want to see Elsie you must do as she did, accept Lord Jesus Christ as your saviour. She loved to cook and after dinner shared her favorite chocolate sheet cake with family and friends. She also loved her computer and was able to communicate with her many friends and relatives. She loved to read and did crocheting. She belonged to groups such as TOPS and the Red Hatters. During her walk with The Lord the two scriptures she held close to her heart were Proverbs 3:5-6 and Philipians 4:13.
