Elvera Vogl, 92, of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away Thursday, November 14, 2013. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, November 18th, 12:30 p.m., at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 11822 Holmes, Kansas City, MO, with burial following in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., one hour prior to the mass.
Elvera enjoyed china painting, she belonged to Ladies of Charity, did volunteer work for Little Sisters of the Poor, and was a member of More Friends.
Elvera was preceded in death by her grandson, Brice Hayes; her husband, William Vogl; and sister, Leona Roberson. She is survived by her children; Valerie (Phillip) Barrett; Stephen (Susan) Vogl; seven grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; a sister, Camilla (Lt. Col. John J.) Vogl.
