Emily was born October 29, 1934 in Long Island, New York. This is where she grew up, met and married the love of her life, Tom.
Emily and Tom were blessed with four daughters. Emily’s love for her family was woven into every day of her beautiful life. She was a Brownie and Girl Scout Leader, member of the PTA board in both California and Kansas City, a member of the North Kansas City Cotillion Board, and children’s bowling instructor. She received an honorary letter “N” from North Kansas City High School, earned as a result of her unwavering support for athletics and extracurriculars at the high school for over ten years. Emily was a founding board member of the North Kansas City Junior League and volunteered hundreds of hours at the Hospital Auxiliary in Covina, California. She had a friendly word or thoughtful greeting card for friends and acquaintances in recognition of the goodness she saw in everyone. She enjoyed needlepoint, jigsaw puzzles, bowling and collecting clocks.
She is survived by her children Amy, Pamela (Paul), Marilyn (Pat) and Alison (Bob); 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sister-in-law Ann Marie; nephews, extended family, and friends; and her beloved cat, Charlie. Emily was preceded in death by her husband Tom, her parents, and her brother Peter.
