Eric Christian Kirley

Eric Christian Kirley, 33, originally from Leawood and Overland Park, KS, passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2011. Christian graduated from Shawnee Mission East High School in 1997. Of his many interests, he particularly enjoyed reading, listening to music, cooking, and spending time with friends and family. Talented in a number of different trades, Christian had careers in construction as well as the food industry. Christian was proud of traveling throughout the United States and abroad. He was in the process of taking classes to help further his many career ambitions and was always seeking to improve himself.

Christian was preceded in death by his mother, Jean Anne Hancock; maternal grandmother, Katheryn Hancock Downs; paternal grandparents, Donan Charles Kirley and Susan Whitehead Kirley. He is survived by his father, Chris; step-mother, Terri; brother, Nick; brother, Morgan; sister, Caitlin; uncles David Hancock and Steve Kirley, and their wives Linda Hancock and Cornelia Kirley; and, countless other family members and friends. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
