Erma Irene Wood

Memorial Services will be held at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home in Kansas City, Missouri on February 22nd.

Erma was born January 8th, 1947 to the late Mildie and Lucy Marler in Belleville, Illinois. Erma worked as a supervisor at a food market for many years before she retired. Erma had a love for Elvis and his music and had quite the collection of Elvis memorabilia. She spent her evenings reading books from James Patterson, watching crime and cooking shows and spending time with her loved ones. Erma had such a loving heart and could make friends with anyone that crossed her path.

Erma was preceded in death by her sons, Brent Wood and Blaine Wood; three brothers, Butch Marler, Clinton Marler and David Marler. Erma is survived by her sisters, Karen Schweiger and Shelia Paida; her brother, Kevin Marler; grandchildren Brittany, Katie, Ashley, Dallas, JD, Ashlynn and Adriana; great-grandchildren, Addison, Kinsley, and Amelia.
