Ermeline Vega Lopez

Ermeline Vega Lopez, 92 of Kansas City, MO, died peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, December 19, 2020. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Guardian Angels Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Ermeline was born on September 13, 1928 in Kansas City, KS to Jose E. Vega and Esperanza Alvarado Vega. She married John Lopez in 1948 and he preceded her in death in 2003. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. A devout Catholic, she had been a parishioner at Guardian Angels Church since 1961.

Ermeline was preceded in death by her sister, Amparo Salazar. She is survived by her four daughters, Susan Tarwater (James, (deceased), Sylvia Calleros (Louis), Linda Fuller (Edward), and Elizabeth Aguilar (John); two sons, John Lopez (Maureen) and David Lopez; sister, Theresa Parson; six brothers, David Vega, Joseph Vega, Michael Vega, George Vega, Richard Vega and Xavier Vega; 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
