Ernest Stuart Millbern, 89, of Raytown, Missouri, went to be with the Lord on October 8, 2011. Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 11 at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri, followed by funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Mr. Millbern was born August 16, 1922 in Lincoln, Nebraska, son of Ernest W. and Iva Marie (Davis) Millbern. He was a United States Army veteran, serving in World War II. He had worked for General Motors at the Fairfax Plant for more than 30 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Millbern, in 2008. Mr. Millbern is survived by his daughter, Linda L. Talley and husband Lt. Col. Kenneth R. Talley, USAF (Retired) of San Antonio, Texas; son, Stuart L. Millbern and wife Connie of Blue Springs, Missouri; two grandchildren, Kristen N. Newton and husband John and Kent S. Talley; and eight great-grandchildren, Cayli, Hannah, Lindey, Elizabeth, Brayden, Weston, Addison and Lily Newton.
