He served in the US Army during World War II from July 1944 to June 1946. He served with the 80th Infantry Division in Germany and was a Guard at the Nuremberg War Trials. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service.
Ernest Lee is survived by his wife Denise; sons Mark (Sally), Zane (Susan), James, Karl (Lisa); daughters Linda, Gail (Ron) Roland; four grandsons Joshua, Craig, Jordan Trued and Kalem Roland; four granddaughters Jill (Emrah) Metin, Laura Trued, Karisa Trued and Mikaela Roland; and one great-granddaughter Zeynep Metin. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Kenneth, sister Helen Kutzli and granddaughter Amy Trued.
Visitation will be 9:00-10:00 a.m. followed by funeral service at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 6, at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road.
