Esther Elain Hubbard

She was born on June 27, 1945, at the hospital in Waynesville, MO. Her family moved to Independence, MO, in 1947. She graduated from William Chrisman High School in 1963. It was during her graduation night that she met the love of her life, Terry Hubbard. The two were married on March 28, 1964, beginning a beautiful life together that spanned over 60 years.

A woman of many talents, Esther spent 20 years baking wedding and birthday cakes, bringing sweetness to countless celebrations in her community. After raising her children, she also went to work for Lee’s Summit School District.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Esther McGowan, and her son, Austin Hubbard.

Esther’s legacy lives on through her devoted husband, Terry Hubbard of Lee's Summit,MO, Son Joe Hubbard of Belton,MO, Tom Hubbard (Christina) of Lee's Summit,MO.
