Esther L. Reyes, 93, of Grain Valley, MO, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2026, at her home. Visitation will be from 9:00–10:00 AM on Monday, August 3rd at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Kansas City, MO. Funeral services will follow at 10:00 AM at the church, with burial at Forest Hill Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research or the Guadalupe Center of Kansas City.
A loving wife, devoted mother, and a wonderfully strong personality, she brought heart and energy to everything she did. Throughout their 45-year marriage, she and Raymond loved exploring new places together. Above all, she treasured quality family time—whether getting together with her siblings to catch up on life, or making memories surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Her warmth, strength, and devotion leave a lasting legacy for all who loved her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 45 years, Raymond Reyes Jr.; her parents, Abraham and Josephine; and six of her siblings. She is survived by her children: Linda (and partner Terry), Reyne, Ramona (and husband Fred), Raymond (and wife Jami), Patricia, and Liz (and husband Pat). She also leaves behind her sisters, Molly and Delores, as well as 11 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, and 10 step-great-grandchildren.
