Eva Maye Allee, born August 19, 1941, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Samuel and Maudie Silverman passed away peacefully surrounded by family in the comfort of her home on September 1, 2025, at the age of 84.
She was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, aunt and friend. She truly was an angel on earth and left that impression on everyone she came in contact with. Her compassion and selflessness knew no bounds. Her laughter was contagious as was her smile. Eva was an avid sports fan, supporting both the Kansas City Royals and the Kansas City Chiefs. She also was an incredible cook, known for her summer sausage, meatloaf, and chili dip, which were requested during gatherings and special occasions.
On August 14, 1963, Eva married Mike Allee at Grand Avenue Baptist Church in Kansas City, Missouri, with Brother Fisher officiating. Just celebrating their 62nd wedding anniversary, in sickness and in health, he was always at her side.
Eva is survived by her husband, Michael Allee; daughters, Britton Miller with husband Brett Miller, Courtney Allee and fiancée Neal Survant; grandchildren, Nicholas Hunter Reed with wife Audrey Reed, Max Reed, Ciara Miller, Aden Alexander Allee. She is also survived by sister, Sonja Slosberg; nieces, Tracy Nicola with husband Michael, Shelley Zatarain and husband Hector; nephew, Scott Prussack with wife Mindy; and lifelong friend, Mary Ayoub.
Playing ‘Boogie-woogie’ or ‘Heart and Soul’ on the piano or a keyboard was a welcome skill the whole family loved and joined in on. She had the opportunity to show her skills and play on a Baby Grand with Richard Hawk, owner of the famed Gaslight Grill at one of her birthday celebrations. She now joins him as an angel in heaven and can play her favorites anytime.
Eva had many cherished phrases including the two phrases her daughters and husband heard all the time and will never forget- "Where there is a will there's a way," and "Everything happens for a reason."
We love you Eva Maye Allee, you will always be in our hearts, we will take you with us everywhere we go.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home on September 11th at 4pm, with reception following in the gathering room. The Celebration will be livestreamed and viewed by clicking the link below under "Services".
The family expresses their gratitude to Ascend Hospice for their care and support for Eva and her family in her final days.
