

Eva Ruby Roberson of Bland, Mo. departed this life on Sunday, March 13, 2011 at Gasconade Manor Nursing Home in Owensville. She had reached the age of 90 years four months and six days. Eva was born in St. Louis on November 7, 1920, a daughter of the late Mabel (Taylor) and Richard H. Dittman. On February 4, 1939 in Union she was united in marriage to Wilbert Denver Roberson. She was a former member of the Canaan United Methodist Church and was attending the First Baptist Church in Bland. She was a Gold Star Mother in the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbert; two children, Evangeline Koch and Samuel Roberson; son-in-law Jerry Michel; brothers, Chester Paasch, Richard Dittman and Everett Dittman; sisters, Edith Branson, Evelyn Smith, Esther Fitzgerald, Edna Dittman and Pansy Hollandsworth. Her survivors include her children, Leo Roberson and wife Carolyn, Denver Roberson and wife Wanda, Leon Roberson and wife Donna and Brenda Michel all of Bland; son-in-law, Tim Koch of Jefferson City; brothers, Virgil Paasch and wife Irma Jean of Troy, Richard Paasch of Bland; sister, Pearl Hinson and husband Earl of Overland; and by 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and five great, great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 17 at 11:00 a.m. at the Gottenstroeter Funeral Home in Owensville with Pastor Bob Dodson officiating. Burial will be in the Countryside Memorial Gardens. Visitation will begin for the public at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Gottenstroeter Funeral Home.
