She was born October 15, 1922 in Bosworth, Missouri to parents Harry and Eva Squires. Eva graduated from Carrollton High School and attended Central Methodist State College in Fayette, Missouri. She met James L. Rowland at college and they were married in 1942. They had two children, Suzanne and Jim.
Eva loved music and was a member of the Sweet Adelines and other locally performing choirs. She loved Lawrence Welk and it wouldn't be unusual to see her dancing through the house every Sunday night while watching his show. She volunteered at The Shepherd Center in Grandview, Missouri. Eva retired from the Internal Revenue Service after many years of service.
She is survived by her two children: a daughter, Suzanne Siler and a son, James Rowland and his wife, Charlene; four grandchildren: Greg, Stacey, Tracey and Jayme; 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
A graveside service will be planned for the Spring of 2021.
