Farolyn Joyce Lenz, 83, passed away November 23, 2012. Visitation is from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 27 at Mt. Moriah Terrace Park Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial is 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 28 at St. Charles Catholic Church, 900 N.E. Shady Lane Dr, KCMO 64118

Farolyn was born November 15, 1929 in St. Joseph, MO to Faraon and Mabel Coons Simpson. She married Michael R. Lenz, March 30, 1951. Farolyn was an active member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Prior to raising a family she worked at Farmland Industries and later delivered food for Meals On Wheels-Northland. Being an avid reader, she loved working at Anderson’s bookstore in Antioch Shopping Center until their closing. Farolyn loved sharing time with her friends, neighbors (and their pets) and beloved “Granny Club”.

Thank you all for making her life so fulfilled and enjoyable. She will be remembered for her kindness, devotion to family and her everlasting energy and spirit.

Farolyn is preceded in death by her husband, Michael R. Lenz. She is survived by her daughter, Karen Vansell and Michael O’Donnell; son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Cheryl Lenz; grandchildren, Jerry Lee Vansell Jr (Jaree), Kristal Wilson (Morris), Christine Lenz and Michael Lenz; great-grandchildren, Sophia Vansell, Bella Vansell and Hayden Wilson.
