Flo was born on October 24, 1931 in Mission, KS to Earl Edward Ross and Nellie Mae Ross. She married her high school sweetheart, Lloyd Brown, on August 8, 1952. He preceded her in death on August 23, 2018.
She is survived by her children, Denise (DJ) Jeselnik (Emanuel Tidona) Lenexa, KS, Karen Brown, Kansas City, MO, David Brown (Cindy), Camden Point, MO, and grandchildren, Sarah (Jesse), April (Michael) and Tyler, and great-grandson, Corlin.
Flo’s career, prior to the birth of her children, was as a secretary, but her greatest joy was in her many volunteer roles at church, ranging from working in the church office, to faithfully singing in the choir, serving as a deaconess, and serving on and chairing a number of committees.
In addition to all of her volunteer work, Flo enjoyed cake decorating, flower arranging, golfing, traveling, (especially her trips to The Holy Land), and going to the family’s second home at Stockton Lake. But, most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and serving the Lord.
Flo was especially kind, gentle and considerate, and she had a special way of making everyone feel loved.
God’s welcoming words to her were undoubtedly, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” Matthew 25:23
