

Being the eldest of 4 children born to the union of Otha Lee Austin, Sr and Christina Marie Austin both who have preceded her in death, Frances Nadine was born on November 13, 1937 in Coffeyville, Kansas. She also had an older brother, Manual who also preceded her in death.
Frances moved from Coffeyville to Kansas City in the1950s. Her only child, Otha Lee Austin, III preceded her to Glory in 2011. After moving to Kansas City she met and was married to Fieldon Parker for a number of years, and they remained good friends until his death. Frances was married to Raymond Miller during the 1960s. She cherished his two daughters Valerie (Miller) Reid and Raynita (Miller) Lang whom she treated as her own.
Having a long and fruitful career, she was a plant supervisor for Armco Steel for many years until the company closed. She moved on to become a plant supervisor for General Mills, Inc where she continued to work there full-time until retirement. She semi-retired and worked for Volume Services at the KC Royals Kauffman stadium for a number of seasons until she decided to enjoy her retirement fully.
Frances was a long-time member of Zion Grove Missionary Church where she was well known as an exceptional usher. She later became a member of Prince of Peace Baptist church until her health began to decline. She was also an usher there.
Known as ‘Gramma’ and ‘Aunt Frances’ she loved family and was very close to both her primary and extended family. All of her siblings Manual, Dora Mae, Othel Lee II, and Ella Marie preceded her in death. In addition, grandson Rodney and great grandson Cameron are both waiting for her with her son Otha Lee in Glory. She leaves to treasure her time with us her grandchildren Kimberly (Sean) of Chicago IL, Herschel known as Trey (Tammy) of Grand Prairie TX, Teadra of Denver CO, Anthony (Lettisha) of Richmond Hill GA; her great grandchildren - Sean Jr, Lauryn, Baileigh, Khilyn, Anthony Jr, Alijah, Armahn and Ahmad, great great daughter Lovee, daughter-in-law, Shirley (Otha) and many other relatives, friends and acquaintances.
Frances Nadine Austin departed this life on May 22, 2026 at Bryan County Health and Rehab, Richmond Hill GA to go on and be with our Lord and Savior. We are blessed to have had her in our lives. We will never ever forget her!
