

Mickey was born on January 25, 1927 to Victor Stueve, Sr. and Frances (Draper) Stueve. She graduated from St. Michael’s Grade School and Glennon High School. On June 22, 1946 she married the love of her life Richard Bennett. She was a life-long, devoted Catholic and was a member of St. Thomas More parish for thirty years.
Mickey retired from the USDA and subsequently sold real estate for Hardin Stockton and Coldwell Banker. She and Dick enjoyed traveling the world while he was employed by TWA. In addition, she loved bowling, her bridge club and golf.
Mickey was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Regina Jones and niece Virginia Lee McClanahan. She is survived by her sons Rick (Valerie) and Gary of Kansas City, MO, Larry (Kim) of Pickerington, OH and Gerry (Gilbretta) of Sweet Springs, MO, eight grandchildren and one great granddaughter, her brother Victor Stueve, Jr. (Delores) of Port Orange, FL and her sister Mary Ann McCallum (Paul) of Ormond by the Sea, FL and many nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 11, 2011 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 11822 Holmes, Kansas City, Mo 64131. Visitation will be Friday from 9:30-10:30 prior to Mass. Burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the Alzheimer’s Association (3846 W. 75th St, Prairie Village, KS 66208) and Rockhurst High School (9301 State Line Rd, Kansas City, MO 64114) in her memory.
