Frances Florence Youngblood, 97, of Leawood, Kansas, passed away Sunday, June 16, 2013 at Clare Bridge Memory Care from congestive heart failure. Funeral Service will be held in Michigan. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 3846 West 75th Street, Prairie Village, KS, 66208.
Frances was born February 17, 1916, in Canada. She became a US citizen February 10, 1941 and married James on December 14, 1945 in Detroit. She worked at General Motors for over 20 years as a baker for the executive dining room. Frances was a Union Steward and a member of Eastern Star. She loved to dance, which she did until her late 80’s, but even though she wasn’t dancing she loved music, bingo and spending time with her family.
Frances was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Youngblood. She is survived by her son, John (Cathy) Youngblood of Springfield, MO; daughters, Carole (Amos) Youngblood of Detroit, MI, Charlene (John) Osborn of Overland Park, KS; and grandson, Leighton Youngblood.
