

Francis Carl Biondo, affectionately known as Frank, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2024, in Leawood, KS, at the age of 69. Born on September 15, 1954, in Kansas City, MO, Frank lived a life filled with love, dedication, and service to his family and community.
Frank was a successful business owner who ran both a trucking company and a produce market. His entrepreneurial spirit and hard work left an indelible mark on all who knew him. Outside of work, Frank found joy in many activities. He delighted in watching his grandchildren play sports, traveling with his beloved wife Maralea (Baine) Biondo, cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs, and enjoying his extensive collection of "collectibles." Frank was also an avid fan of "The Wheel of Fortune."
He was a devoted son and caretaker to his parents, Dr. Marion Biondo and Josephine "Ranallo" Biondo, as well as to his brother, Victor Biondo. He was their primary caregiver, working tirelessly, allowing his parents and brother to remain in their home in their final days. He remained dedicated to his brother Victor during his 30 plus year battle with multiple sclerosis. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, and his cherished grandson Henry J. Tomasic.
Frank is survived by his loving wife, Maralea (Baine) Biondo; his son Erik Griffith (Takako); his daughter April Tomasic (Mark); and his precious grandchildren, Matthew and Quinten Wittenauer, Alice Griffith, and Sophie, Lila, and Frank Tomasic.
Services to honor Frank's life will be held on Monday, September 9th, at McGilley State Line Chapel, located at 12301 State Line, Kansas City, MO. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by a service at 11:30 a.m.
Frank will be sorely missed by his family, friends, and anyone who had the fortune of knowing him. His legacy of love, hard work, and dedication will continue to inspire those he leaves behind.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in his memory to the American Cancer Society.
